Insurance Agent-Commercial Lines Account Manager
Assists Producers (sales agents) in the marketing and servicing of commercial insurance to new and current clients; analyzes and answers requests for information concerning insurance policies.
Duties:
*Calculates and quotes premium rates for recommended policies
*Calls on policyholders to deliver and explain policy and/or to suggest additions or changes in insurance program
*Develops long-term relationships with clients and underwriters
*Discusses advantages and disadvantages of various policies to help Producer/client make choice
*Selects company that offers type of coverage requested by client to underwrite policy
*Contacts underwriter and submits forms to obtain binder coverage
*Contacts company to determine if policy was issued or rejected
*Interprets policy provisions to determine methods of effecting desired changes
*Mails or gives out specified forms as necessary, for processing
*Analyzes policy transactions and corrects records to adjust errors

*Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
*Insurance designations a plus

*Salary starting at $30,000 DOE
