SUMMARY
The Customer Service Representative is responsible for support and service to customers and clients via phone and written correspondence while maintaining compliant documentation and files for audits purposes.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES (Other duties as assigned.)
· Maintain superior quality standards for inbound and outbound calls at all times
· Process customer requests using internal and client standard operating procedures (SOP’s)
· Accurately updates policy master files changes and updates accordingly
· Process and calculate premium payments including corrections, returns, and refunds.
· Participates in cross training as needed and communicates with team and Supervisor to ensure level of service standards and accurate responses to customers and clients.
REQUIREMENTS
· Excellent telephone and customer service skills (with patience) required
· Customer call center/high volume inbound call experience required
· Typing speed minimum 40 wpm with accuracy required
· Filing, good organizational, and time management skills a must
· Reliable, responsible, attention to detail, multi-task ability
ADDITIONAL SKILLS
· Computer skills: Proficiency with MS Excel and Word a plus
· Medical terminology background a plus
· Insurance experience a strong plus
· Must be teamwork oriented with the ability to get along well with others
· Fast paced work ability, quick learner preferred
