Financial Services Practice - Retail
Banking - Integrated Banking Solutions
The Banking consulting practice provides services to major banks around the globe and works in virtually all banking areas and competencies.
- Retail Banking: Consumer deposits accounts, loans (e.g., auto, home equity), individual retirement accounts (IRAs)
- Mortgage: Consumer Loans secured by real estate (e.g., personal residence). This includes the underwriting, approval, servicing and collections.
- Payments: Payments initiation, processing and settlement. Includes credit cards
- Wholesale Banking: Cash management services (e.g., lockbox, fund management), merchant services, business banking services (deposits and loans), institutional trust and securities custody services to commercial and corporate institutions.
Essential Functions:
- A Banking Manager at Deloitte will manage and deliver components of client engagements that identify, design, and implement technology and creative business solutions for large
banking institutions. Responsible for developing, maintaining and growing senior client relationships and leading consultant and client project teams from project planning through execution.
Managers are required to have:
- 6+ years of relevant banking and/or consulting experience.
- 2+ years of experience Experience participating in large-scale, full-life cycle Enterprise Application Integration (EAI) implementations. This effort can be within a management consulting or industry environment.
- Experience in managing at least one large Business Integration effort and project team in the banking industry through all phases of the project lifecycle from scoping and planning, requirements gathering, design, development, testing,
- Must have hands-on technical experience with at least one the following tools: MQ Series, SeeBeyond, Tibco, Vitria, WebMethods, IBM WebSphere, BEA Weblogic or Crossworlds, Oracle Fusion, SAP Netweaver XI
- Must have at least 1 year
experience in Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) architecture and Concepts
- Conversant in one or more EAI areas (Message Brokers, Messaging Middleware, Workflow, Business Process Management)
- Integrated banking solutions experience in one or more of the following areas: Fidelity banking software, Hogan Systems, Fiserv software, Jack Henry Banking, Argo, S1 Personal Banking, TouchPoint, ViewPoint.
- Willingness to travel to client locations (80%).
- Bachelor's Degree or 4 years equivalent professional experience.
In addition, successful Managers will also have the following preferred skills:
- A strong Java, EJB, BPEL, UNIX background
- Experience with Business Process Modeling (BPM) tools, Business rules integration
- Experience with Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) technology like BEA, Sonic, IBM, Oracle
- Strong knowledge and comprehension standards, specifications, standards bodies (e.g., XML, UDDI, JMS, Web services, etc.)
- The
ability to manage small engagements and teams or parts of large engagements
- Strong methodology understanding, and have assisted in the design, development or testing of a technology integration project
- Strong analytical and technical skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills
- Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment
- The ability to work both independently and as part of team
- A Willingness to mentor junior staff in technical areas
- Eagerness to mentor junior staff
- An advanced degree in the area of specialization is preferred.
