Financial Services Practice - Retail Banking - Integrated Banking Solutions
 
The Banking consulting practice provides services to major banks around the globe and works in virtually all banking areas and competencies. 
- Retail Banking: Consumer deposits accounts, loans (e.g., auto, home equity), individual retirement accounts (IRAs)
- Mortgage: Consumer Loans secured by real estate (e.g., personal residence).  This includes the underwriting, approval, servicing and collections.
- Payments: Payments initiation, processing and settlement.  Includes credit cards
- Wholesale Banking: Cash management services (e.g., lockbox, fund management), merchant services, business banking services (deposits and loans), institutional trust and securities custody services to commercial and corporate institutions.
 
Banking Senior Consultants are involved in the design and implementation of custom, technology enabled business solutions for the banking industry.
Essential
Functions: 
- Banking Senior Consultants function as integrators between business needs and technology solutions, helping to create technology solutions to meet clients' business needs.
- Responsibilities include, among others, defining systems strategy, developing system requirements, designing and prototyping, testing, training, defining support procedures and implementation.
- Senior Consultants perform accurate analysis and effective diagnosis of client issues and manage day-to-day client relationships at peer client levels.    
- Senior Consultants gain exposure to multiple industries and service lines within the practice while demonstrating an awareness of the full breadth of services offered by engagement follow-on opportunities. 
 
Sr. Consultants are required to have:
- 3+ years of  banking industry and/or consulting experience
- Experience participating in at least 1(one) large-scale, full-life cycle Enterprise Application Integration (EAI)
implementation or a large systems implementation effort in the banking industry, in more than one phase (starting from scoping and planning requirements, through design, development, testing, through go live). This effort can be within a management consulting environment or in the industry
- Must have hands-on technical experience with at least one the following tools: MQ Series, SeeBeyond, Tibco, Vitria, WebMethods, IBM WebSphere, BEA Weblogic or Crossworlds, Oracle Fusion, SAP Netweaver XI
- Must have experience in Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) architecture or Concepts
- Conversant in one or more EAI areas (Message Brokers, Messaging Middleware, Workflow, Business Process Management)
- Integrated banking solutions experience in one or more of the following areas:  Fidelity banking software, Hogan Systems, Fiserv software, Jack Henry Banking, Argo, S1 Personal Banking, TouchPoint, ViewPoint.
- Project Lifecycle experience.  Lived at least one complete project
from Scoping and planning requirements, through design, development, testing, and go live
- A familiarity with executing one or more architecture Proof of Concepts
- Willingness to travel to client locations (80%
- Bachelor's Degree or 4 years equivalent professional experience
 
 
In addition, successful Sr. Consultants will also have the following preferred skills:
- A strong Java, EJB, BPEL, UNIX background Ability to work independently and manage multiple task assignments
- Strong understanding of methodology
- Experience with assisting in the design, development or testing of a technology integration project
- Experience with Business Process Modeling (BPM) tools, Business rules integration
- Experience with Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) technology like BEA, Sonic, IBM, Oracle
- Strong knowledge and comprehension standards, specifications, standards bodies (e.g., XML, UDDI, JMS, Web services, etc.)
- The ability to manage
small engagements and teams or parts of large engagements
- Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment
- Strong analytical and technical skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills
- Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills
- The ability to work both independently and as part of team
- A Willingness to mentor junior staff in technical areas
- An advanced degree in the area of specialization is preferred
