Position Summary:

The Integration Technical Analyst plans and executes testing procedures supporting interface code development for large systems integration projects.  Working from detailed integration requirements documentation and maps of process flows, the Integration Technical Analyst designs and develops test plans, scripts, and implements tools to test system data interfaces.  They will ensure that products, applications, and systems are in compliance with established quality standards, and meet customer requirements. The Integration Technical Analyst should be familiar with and able to support any phase of the system development cycle.

Detailed Job Duties: 

  • Creates a traceability matrix in the test support software that ties test procedures to specific business requirements.
  • Works with business and technology leads to identify the appropriate data for testing, and prepares or directs the preparation of that data for the test cases.
  • Executes system integration and user acceptance testing with thorough documentation of the test procedures and results.
  • Works with the business analyst and third party vendors’ technical staff to coordinate the exchange of data with external systems.
  • Assist Integration Developers, Business Analysts and Business Leads to identify and resolve problems uncovered by system integration and user testing.
  • Assess and revise test sequence and scope based upon test results and / or changes in product design
  • Saves all test case procedures for inclusion in regression testing for patches and upgrades.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline
  • 2 + years demonstrated experience in system integration and user acceptance test methodology and test plan creation
  • Demonstrated competency in testing including use of testing automation tools
  • 2 + years experience in creating test harness, scripts & data validation scripts using SQL Scripting
  • Understanding of business and system use case documentation
  • Knowledge of and 2 + years of hands on experience with test management software (particularly HP Quality Center) for documentation and execution of test cases, results documentation and reporting
  • Knowledge and understanding of structured analysis and technical design techniques and documentation
  • Clear understanding of project management methodology (planning and monitoring projects in a cross-functional environment)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to express complex technical concepts in business terms
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and conceptual skills
  • Solid teamwork and interpersonal skills

Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge of database management and file access methods is desirable
  • Familiarity with ETL development particularly using Informatica Power Center.
  • Experience with Tibco
