Job Description
 

Florida Hospital Kissimmee is an 84-bed community-focused hospital, conveniently located near Walt Disney World. The team here is dedicated to bringing mission-focused, faith-based care to residents and visitors of Osceola and Orange Counties.


Nurses have individual assignments, but work with the philosophy that all Critical Care patients belong to all unit nurses. All documentation is computerized on a new proprietary system called I-Extend. There is a secretary/monitor tech that supports the unit with remote telemetry monitoring and orders.


The ICU team responds to the Rapid Response Team calls in a fast and efficient manner. Floating may be required between the ICU and PCU like units based on census. Throughout our Critical Care Unit, we’re looking for team players who are able to adapt to an ever-changing environment in a positive manner.


This unit offers a cohesive, family-like atmosphere that provides a positive experience for patients and staff alike. Leadership recognizes the initiative and efforts of the team, and fosters a nurturing environment where employees can feel trust, hope and belonging. There is also an opportunity to participate in Nurse Practice Council projects that will improve care delivery and help the unit achieve Magnet status.

 Requirements

  • FL RN license or ability to obtain reciprocity

  • ACLS and BLS Certifications

  • One year recent ICU experience
