The Position:

Boston.com is looking for an Interactive Developer to be an integral part of the Digital Creative Services team.

Digital Creative Services is a team of five print and interactive designers responsible for conceiving and executing marketing campaigns for Boston.com, and for the design and production of sold advertising on Boston.com. The Interactive Developer would be a close collaborator with the designers in the creative process, in cooperation with the Ad Operations team.

Responsibilities include:

• Create custom microsites and emails, both for Boston.com marketing campaigns and for advertisers.
• Convert flat designs from Digital Creative Services into functional web pages that may collect user data or have user interactivity.
• Collaborate with Creative team in the innovation of new advertising products, staying ahead of the curve with best practices and third party rich media.
• Enable interactive ad units that collect user data, using Flash and/or javascript.
• Oversee QA of above, manage databases and provide assistance to Ad Operations team in testing and tracking of campaigns.

Skillset:

• Expert proficiency in HTML and Javascript (required)
• Proficiency in Flash Actionscript (required)
• Basic familiarity with Adobe Photoshop, Fireworks and Dreamweaver (required)
• Proficiency in PHP or comparable server side coding language (desired)
• BA in Software Development or IT (preferred)

You must be able to work well in collaborative, team settings and have good organization and time management skills.
