Job Title: Interface Developer Analyst

Reports to: Interface Group Manager, SE Division
Position Description:
The Interface Developer Analyst must have strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. This position must understand and conceptualize applications from both a technical/programming perspective and a business point of view. The Interface Developer Analyst will deal with both technical personnel and business managers/administrators, as well as participate on project teams. This position requires strong interpersonal and communication skills. Excellent programming abilities in common languages and frameworks such as C#/C++, Java, AJAX and Microsoft.NET are required for this position. This position will develop unidirectional and bidirectional interfaces to various OMS, EMR and PMS systems. A strong understanding of HL7 is required.
Secondary duties include various interdepartmental level custom programs.
Job Responsibilities:
- Project Management and Development of new interfaces and bridges
- Serve as point of contact to all client vendors
- Writing custom software utilities for various internal departments
- Maintain/support HL7 Interfaces
- Document software specifications
- Train and support users on custom developed software
- Provide feedback and suggestions for process and product improvement
- Additional job related duties as required
Job Requirements
Education and Training:
- BS degree in a technical field or equivalent experience
- 4-8 years experience in programming
- 1-2 years project management experience
- 1-2 years experience with HL7
- Demonstrated competency in Visual Studio 2005 and/or Visual Studio 2008
- Familiar with Neotool HL7 products is a plus
- Demonstrated competency and high level of understanding of computer systems, TCP/IP based networks and 802.x standards.
- Competency in use of basic hand tools
- Excellent customer relations and organizational skills required
- Above average knowledge of MS Office, Excel, PowerPoint, and other similar software packages
Competencies:
- Must have working knowledge in Health Level Seven (HL7) specifications
- Great organizational skills
- Ability to work independently
- Working knowledge of Windows based computer systems; Office automation, computer hardware and software applications; local area networks
- Specific knowledge and experience with Windows XP Operating system based PCs and laptops
- Ability to troubleshoot hardware and software problems
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with supervisors, peers, other employees, and vendors
- Strong verbal/written communication skills
- Excellent customer relations, listening, and organizational skills
- Must have a valid Driver’s License with no traffic violations within the past two years
