Immediate need for a Bridge Engineer to perform bridge design and condition inspections in support of various transportation projects throughout Maryland. Responsibilities will include analysis, design, contract document development, condition inspections and reporting, and construction-related services for transportation-related structures, including bridges, culverts, retaining walls, etc.
• B.S.C.E with a minimum of (5) five years of experience in bridge design and inspection; M.S.C.E. preferred
• Licensed as a Registered Professional Engineer; Maryland license preferred
• Experience preparing contract documents for state and local jurisdiction bridge design projects in accordance with Maryland State Highway Administration policies and procedures
• Qualified NBIS Inspection Team Leader; NHI Fracture Critical Inspection Training a plus
• Strong knowledge of AASHTO specifications
• Strong knowledge of LRFD, LFD and ASD design methods
• Experience with a variety of bridge design software
• Hands-on experience with MicroStation software
