Looking for an internship where you can really learn something, make an impact and have fun at the same time?  Mindspark’s internship program is designed to provide college students the opportunity to explore careers in our industry by providing meaningful and practical business experience, while having fun in the process.

Position Summary


The Finance Intern will report to the Director of Financial Planning & Analysis. This role will focus on specific projects with hard deliverables surrounding the financial analysis and strategic alignment of products and services within Mindspark and the market.  All research will be a conduit to qualitative analysis and reporting to support a roll forward multi-year strategic plan.  A strong analytical relationship between revenue and marketing will be critical to the analysis.  This internship is unpaid and for college credit only.


Responsibilities

  • Provide ad hoc financial analysis projects
  • Assist with the FY09 budget and Strategic Planning process
  • Partner with Project Managers and Business Sponsors to better understand future spend, economic gain and strategic position of said projects.
  • Participate in creation of new processes, reporting and analyses to be implemented in Finance.
  • Initiate and develop presentations for Senior Management on analyses, on-going initiatives, etc.

Requirements


To be eligible for a Mindspark internship, you must be registered as a student in good standing at an accredited college or university in the NY or tri-state area. The registration must apply to the full duration of the internship.

  • Candidate must have completed at least two years at an accredited college with a focus in Finance, Marketing or Economics.
  • Prior intern role
  • Must have strong Microsoft office suite skills with the ability to create and present research findings, methodologies and content.
  • Demonstrate a solid grasp of business concepts, realistic judgment, and quantitative and critical thinking skills.
  • Work effectively with others.
  • Plan, organize and prioritize multiple tasks within a defined time period.
  • Write and speak clearly, concisely and persuasively.
