As a Product Management Intern you will play a key role in supporting the ongoing development and enhancement of our social networking and virtual world products.  
 
Responsibilities
 
User Community Outreach:

• Write blog posts, specifically focused on user outreach
• Conduct promotions in our virtual worlds
• Compile content for a monthly or bi-monthly user publication
• Gather and compile user feedback regarding new features and events

Product Enhancement:

• Participate in product, event, and feature related brainstorms
• Assist in design, development, and deployment of community events and product features
• Virtual merchandise pricing and deployment
• Test new product features and games

 Market Research:

• Competitive Research & Analysis of other virtual worlds
• Provide insight into current trends and interests of youth markets
• Browse RSS feeds and news aggregators for pertinent articles

Requirements
 
To be eligible for a Mindspark internship, you must be registered as a student in good standing at an accredited college or university in the New York or Tri-State area and be eligible to earn college credit. The registration must apply for the full duration of the internship.
 
You must also have:

• Internship or educational experience in a web-based environment/project
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Passion for Web 2.0
• Desire to work in a fast paced start-up environment
• Ability to learn quickly
• Proficiency with Word, Excel and PowerPoint
