Fort Lauderdale based publicly traded $500M+ consumer products manufacturer/distributor with manufacturing facilities across the country, is seeking a highly experienced Director of Internal Audit who will be directly involved with all aspects of the audit process.   Position reports to the Chair of the Audit commitee.    The ideal candidate will possess the following background.

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related finance field.
  
• CPA with active license preferred.    CIA or MBA would be a major plus.
  
• 10+ years of corporate industry experience with heavy emphasis on financial reporting, accounting applications, and financial/operational controls.   Manufacturing background preferable.
  
• Comprehensive knowledge of auditing practices, procedures and principles, sufficient to interpret and analyze complex concepts.

Skills and knowledge should include an extensive understanding of financial and operational risk.    Should have expert knowledge of generally accepted auditing standards and generally accepted accounting principals in the US.    The position requires approximately 40-50% domestic travel.     Must have board level experience.
