AUDIT MANAGER
A local Fortune 500 company is looking for an Audit Manager. This is a chance to join a globally recognized organization with headquarters here in the Philadelphia area. This position will report directly to the Director of Audit, and will have exposure to the VP of Audit as well. Ultimately, this person should be able to handle the responsibilities of becoming a leader within the finance group, so the individual should be possess the ability to grow into a future leadership role.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Position will focus on the analysis and assessment of the control environment associated with the financial reporting and operating systems.
- Responsible for evaluating the effectiveness of internal accounting controls in financial reporting and operational systems.
- Manage/Supervise internal audit staff.
· Ability to recognize control weaknesses, assess their materiality, and propose recommendations.
· Prepare workpapers to document work performed and support conclusions.
· Specific knowledge of audit requirements and general knowledge of the regulatory requirements related to Sarbanes-Oxley.
Requirements:
· A BS degree in Accounting.
· CPA is required.
· A minimum of four years experience in the financial auditing field. Big 4 experience is a plus.
· Understanding of the principles, practices, and techniques of accounting and auditing.
