The candidate will have a CPA and demonstrated achievements in financial roles, auditing, IT business requirements development and management consulting. Experience in positions across Sales & Marketing, Finance, Accounting, IT, Claims, Underwriting or other functional areas of Humana are appropriate prerequisites for this position.

Rotations across internal audit teams are encouraged in order to see across segments of Humana's business. We are currently looking for motivated, qualified professionals with relevant experience in the healthcare and/or the insurance industry to build relationships across Humana, perform engagements and communicate observations to drive change. We expect high level strategic thinkers who are highly motivated, open-minded, with a quick intellect and strong interpersonal, analytical and networking skills. Assignment Capsule
As a Strategic Consultant you will:

  • Provide assurance around the effectiveness and efficiency of the Medicare Bid Process. You will interact with leaders in Medicare Actuary, Sales, and Product Development areas as well as their counterparts in Finance. You will facilitate discussions between outside independent actuary firms and internal actuary leaders regarding peer review of the annual Medicare bids. You will provide a critical level of assurance to directly to the Medicare Actuary VP, VP of Finance / Controller, and Chief Audit Executive - and through them to the CFO and Audit Committee of the Board - regarding the bid process.
  • Provide a second level of review to critical CMS compliance reporting requirements around financial accounting related to the Medicare bids. This effort will include proactive assessment of compliance risks.
  • Develop and maintain key working relationships across Humana related to multiple assigned functional areas. You will facilitate risk assessment discussions regarding strategic, financial, operational, and compliance components as part of the CEO's enterprise risk management initiative.
