Key responsibilities include planning and performing audits of operating units to ensure compliance with statutory requirements and to evaluate internal controls. Travel will be approximately 30% of the time, and will typically involve shorter trips to locations in larger cities (34 states, 2-3 days on average). There is a great opportunity to grow within this department or spring into other departments down the road. Job Requirements: *2 years audit or compliance review experience; public experience is a plus (internal audit, SOX would work well); *BA in accounting/finance; CPA/CIA a plus but not required; and *ability to work independently (most audits are done solo - do entire process from beginning to end).
