Position Title:  Internal Wholesaler

Nationwide is looking for driven, sales-minded individuals for our Internal Wholesaler positions. The ideal candidate will possess:

Skills necessary to be successful:

  • Pensions Sales experience
  • Two plus years experience in financial services or related industry
  • FINRA Series 6 or 7 license
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Polished phone etiquette ability
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business or related field

Job Summary:

  • Align and partner with outside sales workforce to develop and execute territory sales goals and marketing plans.
  • Develop and grow strategic sales relationships with producers to increase overall sales production in support of business unit Sales goals.

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Proactively initiates daily calls to targeted producers/brokers and provides sales ideas and solutions to meet business and client needs. Builds and grows strategic business partnerships and relationships with producers in support of territory(s) goals. Acts as a communications link between producers and Home Office.
  2. Independently acts as in-house and field sales consultant by proactively providing financial expertise, recommendations and practice management advice to producers within assigned territory(s) including case design, business consultations, product updates, producer training, product rollouts.
  3. Conducts and leads campaigns for targeted producers to highlight product features and benefits, and presents sales ideas and solutions pertinent to their business (i.e. new/old products, new producers, cross-selling, etc.)
  4. Profiles producers in regards to business needs, customers, products, etc.
  5. Partners with external sales force to help producers grow their business via conference calls, e-seminars and one-on-one meetings. Actively shares the duties of the external sales force in marketing NW products.
  6. Engages producers to retain their assets with Nationwide. Probes to understand reasons for asset flight and offers alternative solutions for liquidation of assets.
