Description:
The Media Manager would steward division level media initiatives, review media improvement, media plans and monitor buying accountability across the affiliates.
Additional responsibilities include using research tools which would aid the division in measuring in market performance and effectiveness.
The position will interact with all levels within the organization from PCH Int. Marketing to Product Managers at the affiliate level. It is critical that this individual have a tremendous amount of initiative, tenacity, and be detailed oriented. In addition, this position will have significant interaction with media agencies.
This individual must be innovative, have strong base level understanding of Int. media, and strong interpersonal skills, as it will be necessary to gain support from various business stakeholders at the affiliate level to move projects forward.
Position will entail significant travel, perhaps eight to ten weeks per year visiting affiliates, attending Int. meetings
Success of position will be measured against the ability to support continuous progress made related to cost savings, improved in-market productivity of media (implementation and measured effect on sales), and improved processes which facilitate better information flow between affiliates and PCH International marketing management.
Participates in decisions and provides input regarding the adequacy, accuracy, interpretation, and clarity of information/reports prepared by media agencies throughout the world.
Consults with affiliate marketing regarding the assessment of proposed recommendations.
Recommends key initiatives for Director, International Media to determine which will maximize value for International Division within media.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree. Candidate should have 5 to 7 years media experience, minimum five plus years related to international media. Ideal background would have international experience span multiple markets, multiple regions.
Experience working within the international consumer media landscape and with media agencies (non U.S.) is essential to the qualifications of this candidate. Experience with packaged goods and/or packaged medicines experience is a plus but not a requirement.
Experience in Television and Digital media are most important.
