Job Description
Our client is seeking an International Tax Manager to join their team. This position will report directly to the Director of Tax. RESPONSIBILITIES US compliance for our foreign operations (preparation of 5471s, 8858, 1118, etc.) Compute E&P for Foreign operations Assist with FAS 109 provisions for foreign operations. Preparation and review of the international components of the companys FAS 109 calculations Research international tax issues Assist with the IRS Audit dealing with the US-International matters as necessary Assist with Foreign Audits Experience with Transfer Pricing Some additional criteria for the role: Top four tax projects to be engaged by client tax in the next 3 years and the projected duties that will need to be performed. 1) Transfer pricing litigation and tax controversy issues, especially dealing with Canada. Transfer pricing dispute resolution and competent authority experience would be a plus. 2) Implementing new international tax financial reporting and planning software this year. New International Tax Manager will be instrumental in the selection and implementation of our new international tax reporting software. 3) Client will be conducting significant foreign restructuring - preferred candidate would offer foreign reorganization and restructuring experience. 4) Enhance Effective Tax Rate planning - preferred candidate will be conversant regarding ETR planning especially related to foreign tax credit utilization and repatriation tax strategies. The hiring manager would like to have candidates with experience in at least two of the four listed above.
