We are currently recruiting for a qualified, interested and available Trade Compliance Analyst for an opportunity located in Hickory, NC or Cataba, NC or Joliet, IL.

 

Job description:

This position could be located at any of our North Carolina locations (Catawba or Hickory strongly preferred) or Joliet, IL.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

- Researches, reports and implements International Trade Data in order to  ensure global import and export compliance

- Generates cost savings by reducing reliance on 3rd party service providers;

- Assists Director of Global Trade Compliance by providing training and project-specific expertise to CommScope business units

- Acts as subject matter expert for company-wide trade inquiries;

- Classify all product for import and export via CBP HTS #, BIS ECCN #, Schedule B, ITAR

- Maintain and update Export Compliance via SAP/GTS

- Analyze goods for NAFTA and other Free Trade Agreements eligibility, maintain certification for same

- Manage relationships with Customs Brokers and Freight Forwarders

- Prepare ruling requests to CBP, SNAP-R requests to BIS

- Research and report foreign market import/export admissibility of CommScope product, including customs duties and VAT

- Maintain and update Corporate Compliance Manual

- Research and advise correct use of incoterms

 

Requirements :

- Bachelor's Degree required.  International Business or Logistics degree strongly preferred

- 3 years minimum import/export experience with either major manufacturer or International Broker/Freight Forwarder is required

- Licensed Customhouse Broker strongly preferred

- Excellent analytical skills

- Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work cross-functionally as member of global team

- Self-starter, ability to work on multiple tasks with minimum supervision
