Inventory Control/Data Entry

About the Job

Individual is responsible for the coordination of customer service, inventory control, and data entry for a small chemical manufacturing business. Will establish and maintain strong communication patterns and develop effective troubleshooting skills to ensure all customer contacts have their needed information to perform their day to day tasks.  Also functions as the vender contact to manage inventory control for multiple product lines and to coordinate order processing and allocation of Fleetchem products, working with the Plant Supervisor and VP Operations to make decisions regarding order fulfillment.  


 


Responsibilities and Duties


Raw Material Ordering-Plant Supervisor will notify you what you need to order, how much, and when we want it delivered.


Inventory Control- Input of Raw Materials, Blends, Fills, and Shipments-All acts in the plant require documentation to be filled out. All documents need to be entered into QuickBooks


Invoicing- Weekly invoices need to go to customers and anytime product is packaged for any customer an invoice needs to be created and sent to them, Any direct supply products to any customer needs to have an invoice created.


Faxing all necessary documents- All materials that are owned by our customers needs to be faxed to the appropriate individual.


Pay roll-Every two weeks pay roll needs to be called in.


Phone Calls/Messages-Answering phones and relaying messages to the intended individual needs to be done via email


Label making-Any labels for packaging material needs to be created.


Ordering Temps- When we need additional labor, a phone call needs to be made to the appropriate temp agency


Quality Control-A Certificate of Analysis needs to be created for each batch. This is a process that requires some laboratory background.


Spreadsheet Creation-Weekly production/shipment reports needs to be created and from time to time reports need to be created for the President and VP of Operations.


Physical Inventory-Every month, a physical inventory needs to be done on all material at the facility.


ISO Assistance-Fleetchem needs to maintain its ISO 9001:2000 certification and proper upkeep of documents and processes needs to be done.


Office Cleaning- Once a week the office needs to be cleaned.


 


Requirements


1. Must have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
2. Experience with accounting procedures and/or inventory control is preferred.
3. Experience with client services and problem resolution customer interaction is preferred.
4. Requires well-developed communication, organizational and interpersonal skills and the ability to work with a variety of people at all levels.  Requires a high customer service focus and the ability to problem solve to meet and exceed customer expectations. 
5. Must be willing and able to travel as needed.
6. Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel (or equivalent software) is required.  QuickBooks software experience is required.  Must be comfortable working with computers and have the ability to learn new software. 
7. Must be a detail-minded, analytical, deadline-oriented self-starter who has the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
8. Must be willing to learn and acquire new skills and abilities.
