Primarily, The Inventory Control Manager is responsible for the integrity of the inventory.
Position is responsible for monitoring and controlling inventory levels by performing duties personally or through subordinates. Responsible for security and accountability of inventory. Oversees the analysis and disposition of excess inventory and develops policy for reducing and controlling inventory..
Experience in Food Industry/Perishable inventory a HUGE plus!
Duties:
* Verifies and completes receiving reports by checking receiving document against sales order for quantities and items shipped, release number, and discrepancies; correcting discrepancies.
*Ensures a high degree of customer satisfaction by developing an understanding of customer expectations and managing and directing staff activities required to meet this expectations.
* Audits and reconciles inventory reports by examining distribution warehouse reports for inventory discrepancies; reconciling entries with inventory system from warehouse inventory reports, credit memos, and variances; completing physical counts.
*Allocates space for storage of goods and organizes and special requirements for stock.
* Coordinates and directs inventory cycle counts
* Works closely with the C.F.O. and Director of Operations regarding cash flow issues, which includes analyzing data and developing predictions regarding inventory concerns.
*Works closely with the Quality Assurance Manager to maintain high level of product quality
*Designs, develops and enhances metrics in response to management requirements.
* Prepares reports by collecting and analyzing data; reporting information; initiating telecommunications.
* Maintains departmental historical records by filing documents and transferring inactive files; destroying obsolete records.
* Maintains distribution inventory operations by collecting information; following policies and procedures; reporting needed changes.
* Maintains quality service by following organization standards, and developing new standards where needed.
* Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Skills/Qualifications:
Must be proficient in understanding of Cycle Count process !
7-15 Years experience in an inventory control role, with a minimum of 5 years in a managerial role, experience in a refrigerated environment a plus
3-7 years experience working with perishable product
Must be able to effectively communicate with other departments, and have strong analytical skills
Must be able to perform physical requirements if the position, which include; spending approximately 50% of work time in refrigerated environment, bending, kneeling, lifting and use of hands and arms to operate machinery.
