Job Description

Inventory Control Specialist

POSITION SUMMARY:  Responsible for monitoring the quality of a full range of inventory management procedures. This key role will be responsible for maintaining and improving the quality of our inventory cycle count program, move transactions and inventory integrity.


 


RESPONSIBILITIES:


·         Manage all cycle counting activities, inventory adjustments, and reconciliations.


·         Prepare of analysis for cycle count variances and determine potential resolutions.


·         Prepare reports and analyses for management


·         Track material status in locations and ensure correct inventory levels.


·         Assist in preparing information for audits/auditors, as needed.


·         Reconcile inventory transactions to ensure proper and accurate posting of transactions.


·         Maintain inventory accuracy of indirect materials.


·         Responsible for the quality and timely inventory transactions.


·         Reconciles inventory discrepancies.


·         Analyze trends and root causes


·         Reconcile cycle count and physical inventory results discrepancies


 ·         Work on special projects, as requested




REQUIREMENTS:    


 


·         8 yrs Inventory Ctrl, Cost Acctg materials mgmt experience, and/or mfg/distribution experience with inventory accountability


·         BS degree or equivalent


·         Proficient in SAP or similar MRP software


·         Expert Level Excel Skills


·         Inventory Management Skills


·         Operations Research Skills


·         Strong Analytic Skills in manufacturing and warehouse management, including cost accounting and forecasting preferred
