Job Title: Inventory Control Specialist

Overview: Abacus Technology is in need of an Automation Equipment Inventory Control Specialist to provide logistics and tracking support for a variety of commercial and military automation equipment.  This position is supporting the US government in Afghanistan.  Special housing, travel, and hospitality benefits as well as incentive bonuses and awards are available.

Major Duties & Responsibilities: Serve as the primary receiving point for J6 automation equipment within the Army Field Support Brigade CRSP/RETRO yard.  Receive, inventory, and manage secure storage of ordered equipment.  Log in and track equipment using a logistics information management system and ensure appropriate items are accounted for within the proper class of inventory.  Support materiel inventory upgrades and enhanced accountability procedures as directed.  Attend regular local meetings to keep all interested parties apprised of automation and military communications equipment accountability, inventory control procedures, improvements, and inventory control progress as necessary. 

Qualifications: 6+ years experience with inventory control and logistics.  Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.  Must possess technical expertise in information technology automation equipment over a range of commercial and military equipment.  Able to remain current on model upgrades to standard and unique automation equipment.  Familiar with IP systems, telephony, and desktop/server computing as well as military C2 systems and their major subcomponents.  Must be certified by the theater property book manager to provide input into the local standards and procedures for effective property accountability.
