INVENTORY PLANNER BUYER

THIS KEY POSITION WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR WORKING WITH A DEFINED GROUP OF VENDORS AND SUPPLIERS TO COORDINATE ORDERING AND DELIVERY OF PRODUCTS FOR MULTIPLE DISTRIBUTION CENTERS.

Primary responsibilities for the Inventory Planner Buyer will be:

• Analysis of anticipated inventory needs and opportunities by reviewing organization objectives, customer requirements, operational plans and sales forecasts, and ongoing evaluation of current inventory levels, composition and balances.
• Building and nurturing relationships with established primary vendors and suppliers.
• Support multiple distribution operations by communicating with internal customers and external vendors to insure timely and accurate delivery of required standard products.
• Coordinate the proper deployment of inventory at multiple distribution centers to relieve excess and obsolete inventory.

Skills and Qualifications Required For This Position:

• Five years experience in a materials management/planning environment preferred
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skills
• Proven analytical skills
• Knowledge and experience utilizing inventory management systems
• Business Management or related college degree preferred
