Inventory Supply/Demand Planning Manager

About the Job


Grab this exciting opportunity to create supply/demand plans and processes for a global industry leader! In this role, you will be responsible for the overall management of Communications Test & Measurement Division's global inventories, communicating material supply and demand issues, and in leading the process and management of demand and supply through the Commtest Sales & Operations Planning process.

He/she will identify issues, seek information, drive resolution and communicate timely status/decisions to all parties involved and, in addition, be a recognized, proactive and willing consultant to all upstream and downstream functions.

In a center-led Materials & Supply Chain environment, this individual will:
• Analyze/evaluate inventory issues and recommends solutions.
• Act as a change agent for improved processes for scheduling, customer responsiveness, inventory reduction actions, and inventory ABC planning.
• Provide input to the planning team consisting of Master Scheduler, Purchasing, and Material Requirements Planners.
• Coordinate Global CommTest S&OP process across Sales, Business Units, Operations and Finance.
• Analyze monthly Forecast Errors (MAPE) to determine inventory impact, isolate root cause, and implement corrective actions.
• Consolidate global forecast inputs from Sales, BU Finance, and Operations to prepare Gap Analysis.
• Prepare and present Forecast Error Analysis and Gap Analysis to senior management team (SMT) during the Executive S&OP segment of the monthly Financial Review.
• Facilitate senior management approval for risk buys to support Business Unit and Operations recommendations to accommodate revenue upside and variation in mix.
• Coordinate build plan changes with global factories, contract manufacturers, and supply chain as required by the S&OP cycle and/or Executive S&OP / Financial Review.
• Drive teams to meet inventory level objectives.
• Coordinate analysis and negotiation of Contract Manufacturer’s Excess & Obsolete (E&O) claims.
• Utilize Lean/Six-Sigma tools to improve/redesign processes.


Qualifications

Required experience & qualifications:
• 7 – 10 years experience in designing, planning and implementing policies, procedures, and activities relating to inventory management, factory planning /execution, backlog management, customer support, revenue generation, contract manufacturing, and procurement programs.
• A Bachelor's Degree in a business related discipline. Masters degree preferred.
• Excellent leadership skills and previous management experience.
• Demonstrated ability to motivate others & achieve results.
• Demonstrated success working in fast-paced, execution-critical environments.
• Ability to influence & gain commitment across business functions.
• Strong facilitation, oral and written communication.
• Experience leading teams and driving process improvements in a matrix organizational environment (center-led).
• Excellent computer skills (spreadsheets, graphics and word-processing applications).
• Experience with Demantra and ORACLE 11i systems is preferred.
