Hedge Fund Investment Services Team Leader

Position Description:

In this position, he team leader plays an important role in various IT and Operations Project. A detailed knowledge of the offering documentation for the hedge funds being serviced. A thorough knowledge of internal policies and procedures with emphasis on all matters relating to Anti-Money laundering. Scheduling and reviewing the work of individual team member. Training and mentoring of team members

•Review, understand and have the ability to discuss governing documents of the client (hedge fund)

•Collect and review due diligence documents for the new fund investors

•Process and report of investor transactions including subscriptions, redemptions and transfers and the associated money movement

•Communicate with internal groups such as accounting, operations, legal and account control with respect to transaction processing, billing, etc.

•Review the share register database to ensure that all activity is completed on an accurate and timely basis and that all outstanding items are reconciled

•Coordinate with share registry group to build share registries, client fund parameters and proper statement production

•Respond to investor and audit related inquiries

•Provide periodic reports and feedback to senior management on a multitude of investor relations topics, client issues and department initiatives

•Support and review all legal documents relating to subscriptions, redemptions and transfer processing within hedge fund of funds.

•Execute investments for offshore and onshore portfolios with Alternative Investment Managers.

•Reconcile monthly cash movements in and out of underlying hedge funds.

•Offer guidance to banking service centers and institutional clients on product services, processes and transactions.

•Work with external vendors such as numerous fund administrators and custodians to minimize risk, maximize efficiency and ensure service quality.

Required skills:

•           Strong planning and organizational skills

•           Financial analysis and computer spreadsheet/database skills

•           Presentation skills, excellent verbal and written skills are necessary

•           Basic knowledge of accounting, finance and investment concepts

•           Proven communication ability; sharp problem-solving skills

•           Demonstrated ability to work successfully in ambiguous environments

•           Advanced skills with Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Access

•           Ability to interact with top management and must be able to work with all levels within the organization in order to secure desired information

•           Strong multi-tasking skills

•           Must be patient to work with investors to answer similar questions repeatedly, possess the self confidence, the integrity to understand and enforce the limits of disclosure

•           Must be flexible, possessing the ability to adapt to changing priorities and varied decision-making scenarios

•           Must be outgoing, energetic, enthusiastic, disciplined with a pleasant personality and possess open, honest communication skills
