SUMMARY

The Investor Accounting Department  is responsible for the processing, reconciliation of funds received from mortgagors, reporting, and remitting to their corresponding Investors.  This position will perform a variety of responsibilities including loan balancing, account reconciliations, ad hoc reporting, and Investor reporting and remittance within our Investor Accounting department.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

1)    Complete daily and monthly reconciliations of various Investor custodial and GL accounts using the Fidelity bank reconciliation workstation and Fidelity servicing system reports including MSP transactions initiating cash and GL transactions.

2)    Prepare daily cash flow transfers from various Operating, Servicing, and custodial accounts.

3)    Prepare trial and final bank account reconciliations, conduct applicable research and initiate actions for timely and effective clearing of outstanding reconciliation items.

a.     Assist in the preparation, reconciliation and reporting of monthly Investor reports for whole loans and/or securitized portfolios and/or other Investors with strict adherence to reporting requirements and deadlines as well as agency reporting.

4)    Investigate, reconcile and provide timely resolution to all investor issues and reporting exceptions.

5)    Assist in the compilation of required documentation for internal and external audits.

a.     Provide training and assistance, as needed, to fellow Investor Accountants

6)    Effectively communicate with management and staff at all times

7)    Provide exceptional and effective customer service at all levels.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

1)    Ability to compile data and manipulate results through use of data extracting tools. Perform various daily/monthly reconciliations, schedules and other administrative accounting-related tasks as required

2)    Participate in special project research, documentation and analysis under the direction of departmental leadership

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

1)    An AA year degree in accounting or finance or equivalent experience

2)    One to three years of experience in the mortgage servicing and investor accounting

SKILLS

1)    Proficiency in Fidelity’s Mortgage Servicing Package system, Excel, Word, and Outlook

2)    Must be a self-starter and dependable

3)    Strong comprehension, listening, written and verbal communication skills

4)    Ability to organize and prioritize assigned work

5)    Ability to be self-motivated and detail-oriented with problem solving skills

6)    Ability to accept responsibility and handle confidential information

7)    Ability to accept and facilitate change, whether indicated by corporate needs, market, or regulatory requirement
