Key Role:
Provide recommendations on transformational improvements to Air Force (AF) ISR warfighting capabilities in support of the Global War on Terror. Determine how to effectively use AF ISR in support of Irregular Warfare and counterinsurgency (COIN) efforts, including the Counter-Improvised Explosive Devices (C-IED) fight. Provide expertise regarding intelligence integration into the Air Support Operations Group, Air Support Operations Squadron, and Joint Air Ground Integration Cell to institutionalize AF ISR support to the Army.
Basic Qualifications:
-Knowledge of the Air Force (AF) ISR enterprise, including current collection management processes and how they can be changed to accommodate a COIN environment, real or perceived ISR gaps across the combatant commands, and the difference in ISR target sets with respect to major combat operations versus an IW and COIN environment
-Knowledge of AF IW, COIN, and building partnership capacity (BPC) guidance
-Knowledge of BPC, including how the AF fits into it
-Knowledge of tactical ground operations, ground force ISR requirements and gaps, and how the AF contributes or recognizes and accommodates them, Organic ISR capabilities, and TTPs
-Knowledge of how AF ISR can best be tasked and executed to directly support ground operations
-Ability to provide input for recommendations that go to COMACC and CSAF
-Ability to help execute BPC with air power, including air advisory, foreign internal defense, and agile combat support
-Active TS/SCI clearance required
-BA or BS degree required
