We are currently recruiting for an Issues & Corporate Communications Director to work in our Norcross, GA. Facility.
This position will be responsible for the following:
Job Purpose:
The Issues & Corporate Communications Director provides strategic communications counsel regarding incidents and issues that may potentially affect the financial, legal, regulatory, and reputation interests of Fiserv.
Position responsibilities will include both proactive and reactive components that help Fiserv anticipate and respond effectively to emerging issues. The Director will serve as a member of the company’s core incident management team, providing both advice and execution support when major incidents occur.
This position reports to the VP, Corporate Communications and its key internal clients are the Chief Risk Officer and the Enterprise Risk & Resilience organization that is primarily responsible for incident management within Fiserv.
Responsibilities:
Serve as a member of the cross-functional core team that develops enterprise incident management strategy and tactics, and that directs the resolution of individual incidents that rise to the level of enterprise importance
Develop and maintain a model communication program for each of the standard incident types recognized by the Fiserv incident management process, including detailed specifications and/or templates for communications to all major constituencies including the incident resolution team, Fiserv associates as appropriate, clients, news media, investors, insurance carriers, and other stakeholders
Participate in the resolution of individual incidents, both those managed through the enterprise process and those of narrower impact managed by individual businesses, as primary communications strategist and counselor, author and facilitator
Serve as media spokesperson on developing incidents and issues, and coordinate media response with other marketing, communications and business unit team members as appropriate to disseminate information
Develop and provide crisis communications and media training to designated Fiserv business leaders
Monitor external coverage of Fiserv incidents, and provide data and analysis to corporate and business unit leadership
Monitor coverage of key incidents and crises affecting organizations in related businesses and industries, and provide data and analysis to appropriate Fiserv parties
Support other Corporate Communications initiatives as required
Skills Required:
A minimum of 7+ years of experience with corporate crisis communications. Proven experience in technology and/or financial services required, along with excellent communication and project management skills. Must be able to establish productive working relationships with business leaders and matrix team members. Solid Investor and crisis communications experience, along with the proven ability to create and implement comprehensive communications plan and messages for a variety of audiences. Candidate should demonstrate ability to distill issues and develop corresponding communications strategies, and key messages/plans. Must possess excellent writing skills, able to multi-task, and have excellent media relations skills. Technology and/or Financial Services experience highly preferred.
Education Required:
· Bachelor’s degree in journalism, marketing or public relations.
