J2EE Software Engineer with Clearance for cutting-edge application development
About the Job
Next Century Corporation, is seeking an experience J2EE software engineer to join our growing team in Columbia, MD. Our sole mission is developing life-saving, mission-critical applications for our government and Intelligence community customers. Due to the nature of our work, all candidates must possess an active TS/SCI with full-scope polygraph. At Next Century, you will work on challenging projects, developing applications from scratch using the fore-front of technology.
Technical Requirements:
- Java and J2EE experience including, but not limited to such technologies as Spring, Hibernate, Struts, Security, JSP, JSF, EJB, Servlets and Swing/RCP application development
- Design and development of Javascript applications using Ajax and frameworks such as ExtJS, JQuery, Dojo, etc.
- Experience using open source Java applications servers, including Tomcat, Jetty and Glassfish
- Experience with Web Services concepts and implementation, including both SOAP and REST
- Groovy/Grails development experience and knowledge of RDBMS concepts and design is a plus

Responsibilities Include:
Leading the requirements analysis, conceptional design, detailed design and implementation of a system, leading integration testing of programs within a system, generate formal design documentation, generate system-level interface control documents, support the development of acceptance test plans and procedures documents, generate customer design review materials and present at customer design reviews.
