OBJECTIVE

The primary mission of the Software Engineer will be to create and maintain e-payment products for our flagship application suite. Strong J2EE hands-on coding is needed to join our creative and talented team.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

·         Hands-on coding within a J2EE environment

·         Familiarity with using UML and other design tools

·         Mentor junior members of the development team

·         Interface with clients, vendors and internal business units to engineer solutions

·         Work with business analysts to capture customer requirements

·         Analyze technical issues and enumerate solution options

·         Mentor junior programmers

·         Other tasks and/or responsibilities required by Manager

KEY SKILLS

·         Java and J2EE design and development

·         Problem solving skills

·         Excellent written and oral communications skills

·         Ability to work effectively both autonomously and as a team player

DESIRED SKILLS

·         Experience with Web Services/SOAP, JDBC and JTA, XML

·         Experience with WebLogic Server and JBoss

·         Comfort working in an Agile/XP team-oriented process

·         Proficiency with Microsoft Project, Visio, Word, and Excel

·         Proficiency with Eclipse IDE

·         Understanding of eCommerce relationships and concepts

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

·         BA/BS in Computer Science or related

·         5+ years as a software developer

·         Sun Certified Java Programmer

Must be able to work in the United States.
