As a new Yum! salaried associate, you can begin using our comprehensive health care benefits starting on your 60th day of employment. But you must enroll in the plans you want on or before your 60th day, otherwise you’ll need to wait until the next annual open enrollment in the fall.

Medical: We offer a choice in medical plans, from the traditional PPO and HMO Plans to a more innovative HealthFund Plan, which gives you more control over your health care dollars. The PPO and HealthFund Plans are available through Aetna nationwide, with a UnitedHealthcare PPO also available in our Dallas, Irvine and Louisville support centers. In select locations, an HMO Plan is also available.

Dental: Dental care is available nationwide through our MetLife Dental Plan which allows you to use in- and out-of-network dentists. In select locations, a CIGNA Dental HMO Plan is also available.

Vision: You can elect comprehensive vision coverage through the EyeMed Vision Care plan.

Life & Disability: We provide you with Basic Life Insurance (equal to your annual compensation) starting on your first day of employment. After 60 days, Yum! provides you Short-Term and Basic Long-Term disability coverage, subject to pre-existing conditions, including pregnancy. You can elect to purchase additional life insurance for you, your spouse, and your children and additional Long-Term Disability for yourself.

We offer Health Care and Dependent Care flexible spending accounts that provide a tax-free way to cover your routine eligible out-of-pocket expenses such as medical deductibles and day care services.

Let us help you turn your retirement dreams into reality with the Yum! 401k Plan! Yum! will match your contribution $1 for $1 on up to 6% of your eligible pay, doubling your initial investment! And when you contribute 6% to the plan and receive a matching 6% company contribution, it’s like getting an extra three weeks of pay a year just for participating in the plan. (Associates, at least 18 years of age, are eligible to participate after 60 days of employment.)

You’ll receive as much as two weeks of vacation during your first year of service — and as your length of service with the company grows, so will your vacation time.

Adoption Assistance: We offer reimbursement on up to $3,000 of covered expenses for the adoption of a child up to 18 years old. Andy Pearson Scholarship Program: Each year, Yum! awards up to $600,000 in $2,500 and $1,000 scholarships to eligible associates and their dependents that are pursuing graduate and undergraduate degrees. (Eligible after 6 months of employment and an average of 15 hours worked weekly)

Tuition Reimbursement Program: You can receive up to $4,000 per calendar year for qualified courses in a job-related undergraduate or graduate degree. (Eligible after 6 months of employment)

Child Care: Yum! associates are immediately eligible to receive up to a 10% discount on weekly tuition at some of the nation’s leading providers of quality childcare: La Petite Academy, Childtime, The Goddard School, The Children’s Courtyard and Tutor Time.
