TITLE: PACKAGING DEVELOPMENT ENGINEER
POSITION LOCATION:
Package Development Department for Medical Devices Company; San Antonio, TX
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:
Candidates must have a BS/MS in Packaging and 5- 10+ years of experience as a packaging development engineer for a medical device or pharmaceutical company. Experience validating shipping and processes are a must. Engineer should also have glass/vial cold chain packaging experience. QBD, DoE, and Six Sigma certification is a plus.
POSITION:
We are seeking several package development engineers to join our Mid-West Coast, US-Regional Packaging Department, which supports the package development and engineering functions of several major food, pharmaceutical, and consumer products companies in IL, TN, MI and the surrounding areas.
Our medical devices client is a global medical technology company with leadership positions in advanced wound; negative pressure wound therapy, and therapeutic support systems.
Engineer’s main responsibility is to provide manufacturing packaging development of new products and line extension from concept to launch; engineer will have full responsibility of the packaging/product system, developing all primary and secondary packaging systems & specifications for various medical devices; working in a team environment, engineer will be interfacing with marketing, engineering, R&D, graphics, developing protocols and conducting package testing; project management; and assisting with packaging validation..
