JR ENGINEER/ESTIMATING

Exciting opportunity for a detail oriented, mechanically astute, and highly organized Jr. Engineer / Estimating Administrator for our precision machined shim operation.

The successful candidate will assess opportunities to quote or no-quote, make proactive sales calls, and have the bearing to ask the customer for the order and gather market data.  You will process a heavy flow of special item quotations from prints and be the primary internal sales contact for certain non-target customers. 

A high mechanical aptitude, knowledge of the machining industry, and ability to keep several projects progressing simultaneously make for the ideal candidate.  Spirol products are specialized to each customer need; these are not catalog items.

Qualifications:

Trade school education in machining and/or AS degree in math or engineering required

3 years experience in the sales department of a technical manufacturing company, making proactive sales calls

Proficiency with Microsoft office products, estimating models, and  able to read prints

Experience with Customer Relationship Management database/software also desired
