Responsibilities
Our Technical Architects are members of our Application Services team within our Information Technology (IT). IT is an integrated group of departments whose basic objective is to provide information, data processing, communications, process enhancements and systems to support the business and management objectives of Sentry.
Our application services are focused on:
• Defining, understanding and recommending changes to the existing software, hardware and application environment in tandem with the current business needs and direction.
• Developing, implementing and promoting architectural standards and frameworks, allowing for a flexible and scalable environment.
• Working with Architecture, Project Teams, and Applications Development to address problems of system integration, compatibility and multiple platforms.
• Working with Architecture to develop new or significantly enhance existing software or technical framework. May participate in a large development team in coordination with an application project team in the design of highly complex systems.
Qualifications
• Minimum of an undergraduate degree (Information Systems, Engineering or Mathematics), with a Masters degree considered an attractive plus.
• 6 or more years of related experience. Java and/or MS .NET architecture and/or programming experience is a must.
• Must have leadership, team building, and communication skills (both written and oral).
• Must have the ability to work in a matrix environment, where it is necessary to educate and influence others actions.
• The ability to deliver highly technical architecture visions clearly to non-technical audiences is required.
