Our client, a leading financial institution, has an opening for a mid-level Java/J2EE Developer/Designer responsible for development of internet based, fixed income trading applications. The role is largely development oriented, however the candidates must be conversant with systems development life cycle Methodologies, including requirements analysis, technical development, and deployment Methodologies as well as supporting the technical needs of each trading entity. The position will encompass a range of varied tasks working with Front, Middle and Back office and Technology and Operations line staff to: develop and test highly scalable Java based applications and components against the J2EE specification. Provide technical support, ranging from system walkthroughs to tactical development for in-house built and third party sourced systems. Will assist multiple teams with application and component deployments such as QA, roll out and product adoption. Looking for person able and willing to work on front-end, middle tier, and back-end development. Required skills include Java,/J2EE environment, Hibernate, JSP, XML, DHTML, Struts, Messaging and Web Services, relational databases (SQL Server and Oracle) and securities (Fixed Income, Trading, Interest Rate Derivatives). Desired skills include Spring, JMX.
