The Java Developer Analyst role is responsible for all phases of development and installation of new or modified administrative application systems. Designs, develops and implements multi-tiered enterprise applications using Java, JSP, HTML, CSS, SOAP, and XML to support business requirements. Follows approved corporate life cycle methodologies, contributes in the creation of design documents and technical specifications. This position will also be responsible for the technical direction of any assigned projects. Will formulate and define system scope and objectives through research and fact-finding to develop or modify moderately complex information systems. Identifies user requirements, helps define system and software requirements, and prepares detailed specifications from which programs will be written. Designs, codes, tests, debugs, documents, and maintains programs by performing tests. Responsibilities will include problem solving and application maintenance with on-call responsibilities but will also involve large projects to design new applications and/or convert existing applications.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in an IT discipline or equivalent related experience is required.
  
• Must have 3+ years experience developing with the following: J2EE, JAVA, EJB, JSP, Struts, HTML, CSS, SOAP and XML.
  
• IDE experience with MS Visual Studio, Websphere RAD or comparable integration environments
  
• Must have experience with relational databases and SQL.
  
• Must be able to consult with users to identify current operating procedures and clarify program objectives.
  
• Excellent communication, design and documentation skills are required.
