Position description
Java Developer
Java Developer
Location: Omaha, NE
Sirius Computer Solutions, a 30-year old, nationwide provider of integrated enterprise server, storage, and software solutions, and the nation's largest IBM Premier Business Partner, has an immediate opportunity for an entry-level J2EE Developer to join the team in our Omaha office.
The selected candidate will have a strong desire to work with leading edge Java technologies, and be able to move flexibly between different project roles including analysis, design, programming, testing and documentation. This consulting position will require some travel to customer locations (10% of the time, on average) and includes both on-site and off-site work.

Basic Qualifications:
•0-5 years of experience
•Java EE, Java and Java Servlets
•Familiarity with source code repository
•SQL
•HTML, HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, Ajax
•Java, JSP, JSTL
•XML, XSL, XSLT
•Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Other Required Qualifications:
•Ability to troubleshoot and identify potential problems and make appropriate changes as necessary
•Ability to work closely with clients and deal with them in a professional manner
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills
•Ability to speak with enthusiasm and confidence in order to retain customers and garner respect of staff
• Excellent interpersonal skills
Other Desired Qualifications:
• Rational Software Architect Eclipse - based IDE
• Spring Framework in MS Windows and IBM System i based environments.
• Willingness to participate in research and review activities to determine new or best methods of proceeding on projects
• Ability to maintain design documents and specifications which will be presented to the customer/client
Travel:
• Travel to various client locations may be required – on average 10%
• Current driver’s license required
• Air travel capability required
