About the Job
Software Developer (Java)
The Software Engineer is responsible for guided development of applications, and for participating in those applications through QA, Production Deployment and Application Maintenance phases.
Technical Skills and Experience
· 0-3 years of Java software
programming experience,specializing
in web applications
· Basic familiarity with Object-
oriented design concepts, and with
Design Patterns (particularly
relating to J2EE/Java).
· Basic familiarity with relational
database design concepts for OLTP
systems, with specific experience
with Microsoft SQL Server
2000/2005, Oracle 9.0i/10/11g or
MySQL.
· Introductory knowledge and
understanding of J2EE technologies
and implementations is a plus.
· Experience with various J2EE
Application Servers (JBoss, Tomcat,
IBM WebSphere, BEA WebLogic) is a
plus
· Familiarity with XML and knowledge
of associated technologies such as
schemas, XSLT, transformers and
parsers.
· Experience using the STRUTS,
Hibernate, or Spring frameworks are
a huge plus
Education and Experience
BS/BA in Computer Science or MIS,
or equivalent work experience
