Java / J2EE Developer
About the Job
Strategic Solutions Group (www.ssg-llc.com) is seeking a Java / J2EE developer to support the implementation and maintenance of IT systems for our customers. The candidate will work within a dynamic, team oriented environment with other IT programmers and analysts to develop and maintain web based IT systems.
The ideal candidate will have working experience as a software developer, an academic background in Information Technology, strong communication skills, strong work ethic, and a pro-active attitude for learning new technologies. The candidate will work within a team of software developers and QA analysts to support existing IT systems and implement new ones. Strong communication skills are required as the position will require direct work with the programmatic subject matter experts when discussing requirements.
Requirements:
Applicant will contribute to the development of Web Application using Java/J2ee/Spring on the JBoss, Weblogic, etc. platforms.
· Experience in development of Web/Application Servers: JBoss, Weblogic, tomcat etc.
· Experience in Object Oriented Design, Object Model and Data Model.
· Should have working experience and knowledge in Object Relation Mapping (Spring ORM or Hibernate ORM)
· Experience in UI components framework such as JSF 2.0 and Rich Faces.
· Familiar with Apache Maven
· Experience with relational databases such as Oracle 9i/10g
· Participates in process or architectural discussions
· Provides input to requirements analysis
· Identifies technology to provide product/process stability or improvement
· May regularly collaborate with external parties or other teams
· Conduct complex feature and/or system integration tests
· Should be strong in Object Oriented analysis and design using Spring framework & hibernate
· Evaluates complex situations using multiple sources of information
· Proficient in automated unit test development practices and design methodologies
· Isolates problems and redesigns processes
Soft skills:
· Should have excellent written and oral English communication skills
· Should have professional attitude
· Should have good people management skills
Education and Background:
· 8 years of related experience out of which at least 5 years should be in Java/J2ee Technologies.
· Experience in Spring, Hibernate and JSF is must.
· Jboss seam, Annotation, Generics is an added advantage.
Contract position is also negotiable.
