Objective: To join our highly motivated team of experienced web developers applying state-of-the-art solutions to continually improve upon our award winning E-Commerce site and online store. You will also provide enterprise solutions to contribute to company growth and success.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for design and development of new features for our E-Commerce and internal applications
- Responsible for maintenance and enhancements to existing web store features and internal applications
- Participate in evaluation/selection of future technologies and development tools
- Develop and execute unit, functional and integration tests
- Responsible for supporting and documenting development processes
- Capable of driving a software idea from concept to reality on your own or within a team setting
- Collaborate with team members and customers (internal and external) to define and specify effective solutions
- Provide occasional daily operations support as well as occasionally creating utilities to improve productivity of internal customers
- Evaluate, select, and provide enterprise solutions to improve company functions
Qualifications:
Required
- Minimum B.S. in Computer Science or related equivalent degree
- Minimum of 5 years experience developing applications using Java/J2EE (JSP, Servlets, JDBC, Web Services)
- Minimum of 2 years experience with relational databases using JDBC and SQL
- Minimum of 2 years experience in web development with focus on client-side technologies (HTML, DHTML, CSS, Javascript, web browsers)
- Experience with Ajax technologies including XML, JSON, Javascript
- Experience with automated testing tools (JUnit, Cactus, Selenium)
- Open to Agile development practices
Recommended
- Familiarity with IBM DB2 and SQL Server
- Working knowledge of Linux or other *nix systems
- Experience with at least one Javascript library (Prototype, Scriptaculous, YUI, JQuery, or similar)
- Experience with Groovy and Grails or Ruby on Rails
- Awareness of Hibernate/Spring
- Exposure to version control systems (StarTeam, Subversion or other)
