Technisource is seeking a Java Technical Consultant for a Permanent Position in Austin, Texas
Responsibilities
· Interface directly with external clients
· Work with our chief architect to define a solution that achieves the technical and business objectives of the client
· Works closely with the project manager to ensure technical success of the project
· Define the deliverable tasks and work with the project manager to develop plan with estimate of time for each task within each deliverable.
· Direct the project team to ensure they understand their deliverables and advise the team members on technical issues as they arise.
· Provide hands-on development; work the most difficult development problems
· Work with client to introduce the solution and to communicate the support and maintenance requirements
· Ensure that the project team is following the Customers development methodology I.e. Agile
Minimum Requirements
· A Bachelors in Computer Science (no other degree will be accepted)
· A minimum of 5 years of previous Java/JSP/J2EE application software development and technical leadership experience
· SQL Databases
· HTML and JavaScript
· XML
· UML
· Professional services environment or similar consulting environment is required
· Web Content Management experience
· Enterprise Document Management experience
· Strong people skills and strong communication skills, both written and oral
· Must be self-motivated and a focus on delivering client satisfaction.
· Ability to quickly learn diverse new technologies
· 50% travel is required
· Eligible to work in the United States. Will not consider candidates that require visa sponsorship / transfer
