Responsibilities/Duties

You will be involved in new software development working with our External Interfaces Group to design, develop and support functionality for our Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) head-end server. This position also interfaces with marketing, customer support and quality assurance. 

Job Tasks

§         Design and implement application code in support of customer requirements

§         Design and implement web services interfaces using standards-based web service protocols

§         Comprehend and assist in the implementation of utility industry standards

§         Write and review design documentation and interface specifications

§         Provide Level 3 product support to assist in resolving customer issues.

Qualifications (MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS)

§         B.S. or M.S. degree in a Technical field (Computer Science preferred)

§         Minimum 5 years development experience using Object Oriented methodology

§         Minimum 2 years Java development

§         Development experience using Apache Tomcat or equivalent application server

§         Development experience using XML and XML schema related technologies

§         Development experience with Relational database products (Oracle preferred)

Desired Skills

§         Development experience using SOAP/Web Services protocols

§         Standard security protocols (SSL/TLS, WS-Security)

§         Experience using rich Internet application technologies such as Flex and AJAX

§         Eclipse IDE or equivalent

§         Rational ClearCase/ClearQuest for configuration management

§         Unix and Windows platforms (development and deployment experience)
