Machinist
About the Job
Service Hydraulics is a repair and manufacturing based machine shop that specializes in the repair, design and manufacture of hydraulic cylinders. We are in a position to grow, we just need to find the right people to help. We are currently looking for a journey level machinist with experience in both CNC and conventional machining. Experience as a repair machinist is a plus.
Requirements and expectations:
-Must have your own tools
-Need be able to communicate easily and work well with other people on projects
-Should be familiar with both mill and lathe operations
-Must be able to hold tight tolerances (.001 in)
-Be able to understand and follow instructions and blueprints
-Reliable transportation and attendance
-Mechanical aptitude
-Ability to copy or slightly modify a sample part
We are not a production based shop, and we rarely do more than a small handful of the same part. Each job is always a little different than the last, allowing for a challenge and the opportunity to apply your mind on each project we work on. Work hours are usually between 7-3:30, however depending on customer needs, overtime may be required. We offer competitive wages and attractive vacation and benefits packages.
