Description
Installs, troubleshoots, and maintains ITS products/equipment. Identifies, analyzes, and repairs device failures, helps direct field crews to replace parts as needed. Performs a wide variety of troubleshooting across the network and helps manage the asset tracking system. Requires a bachelor's degree and 2 years experience OR 4 years experience in the field. Necessary device experience must includes; CCTV cameras and encoders and video transmission strategies, serial (RS-232) devices, terminal servers and Ethernet switches. Troubleshooting these devices across the network is the norm, field visits are the exception. Familiar with standard Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Works under general supervision. Must be able to lift 25 pounds. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager.
