FP Mailing Solutions is an international leader in the postage meter and mailing equipment industry...with U.S. corporate Headquarters in Addison, IL.

We implemented a Dynamics NAV ERP system company-wide 2 years ago - and are seeking an entry level programmer with some business accumen to handle the less complicated program modifications and reporting assignments. 

Summary:  With guidance from senior IT staff, reviews, analyzes, and modifies systems including modifying, encoding, testing, debugging, and installing to support FP's business needs. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.  Other duties may be assigned:

·         Works with IT staff along with department managers and users along with available documentation to understand purpose and desired results of requested application modifications and enhancements.

·         Analyzes requests to determine feasibility and best programming solution.

·         Creates specifications and develops code in test mode ensuring that changes and enhancements are compatible with all applications within the system.

·         Gains appropriate approvals before making “live” changes in the systems.

·         Documents and communicates code, revisions, and functionality as necessary.

·         Provides back-end support to department managers and users as needed, including report development and facilitation.

·         Maintains knowledge of company unique processes related to rentals, consignments, commissions, USPS compliance, postage meter teleset, subsidiary classification, and related.

·         Keeps up-to-date with FP’s system programming languages and requirements.

Education/Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Strong knowledge of business processes through business coursework or proven experience.

Computer Based Experience

Two to five years of related experience programming finance and distribution modules in Dynamics NAV (Navision), C#, C+, C++, Pascal, or Visual Basic.
