SQL Server DBA

Global financial markets software and information firm seeks an SQL Server DBA to utilize highly advanced technical capabilities to assist with the design and implementation of effective solutions and support a demanding client-base.  Based in New York, the DBA team’s primary role is to support and maintain the firm’s database infrastructure for internal and external clients around the world.

The role involves responsibility for performance-tuning MS SQL Server and Sybase ASE environments, defining and enforcing standards and best practices, coordinating and participating in the product release effort.  Excellent communication and networking skills combined with being a highly motivated team player will make you the ideal candidate for this challenging and rewarding role.

Essential requirements for the role:

·         1-2 years of related experience working as an MS SQL DBA

·         Good working knowledge of T-SQL

·         Good working knowledge of replication

·         Full understanding of product release cycle

·         Experience working with a large number of servers in a global environment

·         Strong knowledge of database disaster recovery procedures
