Junior Business Analyst

MagnaCare is looking for a Junior Business Analyst to support, enhancement and development work on a core custom developed Perl applications, and coding interfaces between numerous existing applications.

Job Responsibilities:

• Use software development skills to streamline and automate processes.
• Perform requirement analysis and specifications development
• Develop and document test scenarios for applications
• Assist in validation of system enhancements against business unit requirements
• Write, test and document the necessary code to implement programming requests

 

 Essential Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or related field
• Ability to quickly contribute to VB.Net and or Perl projects (including CGI).
• Understanding of System Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
• Experience with relational databases, SQL and stored procedures
• Must possess the ability to manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision, have exceptional attention to detail and perform consistent work product validation/QA
• Able to take initiative and work with users to solve problems
• Strong analytical skills
• Candidate must have excellent communication skills
• Ability to author functional requirements documents and other technical documentation
• Knowledge of DHTML related technologies including: JavaScript, DOM, CSS, and AJAX
