The award-winning Institute of Culinary Education (ICE) is seeking Financial Aid Counselors to provide top-notch service to its student body in the newly-established Office of Financial Aid. The position is the forefront for students seeking eligibility information for the financial aid they will need to attend culinary school at ICE.
The candidates are resourceful, outgoing individuals that are very comfortable talking to the public in small or large groups. The new Financial Aid Counselors will enter the Office of Financial Aid on the ground level - learning eligibility requirements, rules and regulations, workflow, and software systems to apply and administer financial aid from the experts. They will meet with students and parents to explain the application process, and guide them through it (communicating in person, on the phone and via email). They will learn department policy and procedure, and in some cases, help shape and draft it. Overall, the candidates are eager to learn and contribute to a busy, fast-paced environment.
