Job Description
Individual will be part of a Government, Prime and Support Contractor team that provides engineering support to the Missile Defense Agency (MDA). The duty location is at Huntsville, AL, Washington DC, or Colorado Springs CO, although periodic travel may be required. The position requires on-site engineering support for data collection, assisting on-site trouble shooting of issues, and providing technical assistance to the MDA. The individual is expected to learn the MDA system from hands on experience as well as formal training and be able to work directly with other on-site engineers and technicians. Specific tasks include: provide technical support and ensure quality data collection, help to develop and oversee execution of troubleshooting procedures, and identify areas for policies and procedures improvement. Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously is a requirement. The individual must be a self-starter with the ability to work within a multi-contractor/multi-customer team in a fast-paced onsite environment, and be able to work with both government and contractor staff to perform tasks in a timely manner.

The candidate must have or be able to acquire a Secret clearance.

 

Experience Requirements

• Bachelor's degree.
• 0 to 5 years work experience.
• Ability to participate within a team environment.
• Ability to utilize and coordinate the expertise of others within the team to prepare responses and reports.
• Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Strong Interpersonal and interface skills.
• Strong verbal and written communications skills.

Desired Requirements:

• Master’s Degree
• Demonstrated experience developing products using Microsoft Office to include Power Point, Word, and Excel.
• Military Experience
• Intern/Co-Op Experience, especially in the area of missile defense
• Current Secret Clearance

Desired Degrees:

• Engineering
• Physics
• Computer Science (emphasis on Modeling and Simulation or Computer Security considered a plus)
• Business, if coupled with an emphasis on government contracts or logistics.
